Research Interest
Lende's main emphasis is on how religious actors and institutions influence political change. As the coordinator of the Religion Research group at PRIO, she is in 2012 organising a series of public seminars addressing the role of religion in conflict and peace . Her ongoing PhD-project investigates the changing role of religion in conflict societies by exploring the growing importance of Pentecostalism in Nigeria and Guatemala.
