Current ResearchJason's current work at PRIO examines the relationship between India's federal democratic structure and conflict resolution of the Maoist insurgency, evolving peace process in Nepal, and how interim power sharing measures have affected both the peace agreement itself and the slow march to scheduled elections. Jason also has expertise on rebel group insurgencies in South Asia and economies of conflict, particualrly coal, iron, and Rare Earth Elements.
Languages spoken: English, Hindi, Urdu Working experience: Jason has been at PRIO since April 2007, working with the Conflict Resolution and Peacebuilding programme. Jason’s area of expertise is South Asian conflict resolution and regional security. He has written several articles on the Maoist / Naxalite conflict in India, the state of the media in Nepal, and has previously spent time with International Crisis Group and Human Rights Watch. He is a BA(Hons) graduate of the University of Wisconsin, and a MSc-International Relations graduate of the London School of Economics.
