Doctoral Course on the 'Resource Curse'

This doctoral course will explore the 'paradox of plenty' (or 'resource curse'), whereby an abundance of natural resources seems to lead to negative economic and political outcomes, at least in recent decades. The course will be held at the Department of Economics at NTNU. It is co-sponsored by the CSCW and the Nordic doctoral network on ‘The Political Economy of Governance and Conflict' (PEGC), with a grant from the Nordic Research Board (NordForsk).
