PRIO Gender, Peace and Security Update (Issue 3-2012)

Gender, Empowerment and Conflict in South Asia

The third issue of the Gender, Peace and Security Update this year features a presentation of the PRIO project Making Women Count for Peace: Gender, Empowerment and Conflict in South Asia and an interview with the new Coordinator for Women, Peace and Security at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mariann Murvoll. You will also find news about a variety of recent events such as seminars, conferences and books/publications.
The PRIO Gender Peace and Security Update is an electronic newsletter launched by PRIO’s Gender Team in 2010 in response to growing interest among the public for information about women, peace and security issues.

The newsletter will keep readers informed of the latest developments both internationally and in Norway in relation to UN Security Council Resolution 1325 (2000) on Women, Peace and Security and subsequent resolutions.
