Successful CORE Mid-Term Conference in Varanasi

The CORE project coordinated by J. Peter Burgess and his team at PRIO recently held its Mid-Term conference at UNESCO Chair for Peace, Malaviya Centre for Peace Research at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi.

The Conference, attended by a vast amount of participants and representatives from academia, civil society organizations; governmental institutions and the European Union, explored and discussed the important role of governance in the resolution of conflicts in India and Europe. The conference attracted large media attention and was covered both in the Times of India and Hindustan Times (only print edition).
