France24 Interview on Rwanda

Live television interview on the first visit since 1994 of Rwanda's President, Paul Kagame, to France to meet President Nicolas Sarkozy.

In the three minute interview, Mark commented that: "...Kagame is keen to improve relationships in business and diplomatic circles.  In the August 2010 Presidential elections, Kagame won outright but they were viewed negatively by many and, likewise, there was a highly scathing UN report about Rwanda's atrocities in the DRC [the so-called UN Mapping Report accusing Rwanda of possible genocide in the DRC - which became public shortly after the elections].  So Kagame is looking to increase partnerships and legitimacy for both Rwanda and himself...".
