PRIO and JPR Prominently Featured in Research on Armed Conflict

In a study of the literature on armed conflict over the period 1996–2006 the ISI Web of Knowledge places PRIO and Journal of Peace Research in a central position in the field. Norway ranks as the country with the third highest number of citations (and the highest average number of citations per publication). This is mostly due to research at PRIO and especially at PRIO's Centre for the Study of Civil War (CSCW).
