PRIO is first and foremost a research institute, but is also involved in a PhD level Research School as well as lower level education programmes around the world. More information on PRIO education-related activites can be found through the links below.

  • Research School in Peace and Conflict
    The Research School in Peace and Conflict offers advanced research training for the next generation of peace and conflict scholars by building on networks and expertise at the UiO, NTNU and PRIO.
  • Master of International Studies
    Stellenbosch University (South Africa), PRIO and Bjørknes College join forces in offering the master degree programme in international political economy and conflict dynamics.
  • Peace and Conflict Studies
    The Australian National University in Canberra, PRIO and Bjørknes College have established an exciting postgraduate degree programme in international relations specializing in peace and conflict studies.
  • International Summer School
    The Peace Research course has been part of the International Summer School of the University of Oslo for more than 40 years.
  • Student Scholarships
    The PRIO Student Scholarships offers graduate students, mainly at Norwegian universities, an opportunity to write their thesis at PRIO, with supervision and a stipend. Scholarships are currently on hold, subject to an evaluation in 2012.
